We believe that the Bible is like a library of multiple documents written by many people who were inspired by God. We believe that God speaks to us through the stories and literature contained in these writings, and that each document is part of a much larger unified story that leads to Jesus.
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that Jesus is the Son of God, who came to earth in human form to restore a broken relationship between the Father and all of humanity.
We believe that all men and women were created in the image of God to live in perfect harmony with him, but that humanity rejected a relationship with him through disobedience. Therefore, people are dead in sin and it is impossible to restore this relationship through our own efforts.
We believe that Jesus lived a perfect life, that he died on a cross as payment for the sin of all people, and then was raised to life again. In his victory over death, the relationship we were created to enjoy with God is possible if we choose to accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Through God's grace extended to us and the faith we have in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus we too are raised to eternal life.
We believe that Jesus calls those who believe in him to express their faith through baptism, and that we receive the gift of the Holy Spirit to guide our lives.
We believe that the primary mission of the church is to make disciples of Jesus. Discipleship is a unique relationship where followers of Jesus have an inner desire to practice what he taught and do what he did. As we follow him, we begin to experience the benefits of eternal life and also participate in bringing God's kingdom to earth.
We believe that the church is like body with Jesus as the head. Our desire is to do his will, build one another up in love, and share the good news of salvation in Jesus with the world.
