There is only one God. He is eternal and the creator and ruler of the universe. He loves us and wants us to love him and serve Him.
He is the one and only Son of God. Jesus came to earth and lived a perfect life, as both God and man. His purpose on earth was to show God’s love by dying on the cross for the sins of all humanity. Just as He promised, He was raised from the grave on the third day and will return to earth someday. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:22-23, Hebrews 4:14-15, Acts 1:9-11, Titus 2:13)
The Holy Spirit is a gift from God and lives in the hearts of baptized believers. The Holy Spirit teaches, comforts, convicts and empowers us, giving each person gifts for serving in the church and others in the world. Through the Holy Spirit, we have guidance to live each and every day reflecting God’s love. (Acts 1:8, Acts 2:38, John 16:7-13, Ephesians 1:13)
The Bible is God’s Word and expresses His will. It reveals to us who God is, why He loves us, how He saves us through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus, and what His plans are for our lives on earth and our eternity with Him. The Bible is truth and guides us in living our to honor God and serve others. (2 Timothy 3:16, 2 Peter 1:20-21, Psalm 12:6) (Ephesians 2:8-9, John 14:6, Titus 3:5)
We believe in and practice baptism by immersion. Baptism symbolizes our joining in the death, burial and resurrection of Christ. It is our public declaration of our new life in Christ and an act of obedience under God’s will, modeled to us by Jesus Christ himself. (Matthew 3:16-17, Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 2:38-41, Acts 8:12)
Each human will exist eternally in heaven or hell. Heaven is being in union with God eternally. Hell is the opposite, eternally existing separated from God. (John 3:16, Romans 6:23, Revelation 20:15)
