Missions
Haiti
Mission Statement: To prepare selected students to be servant evangelists to spread the gospel of Christ, and to minister to the needs of the Haitian people in the Spirit and likeness of Christ.”
Our main project is the Center for Biblical Studies, training Haitian men to be preachers. Our program combines Bible study, mentoring, and practical application in a 3-year program. The CBT is located just outside of Cap Haitien, in northern Haiti.
St. Vincent
For about 30 years, the East Cobb church has supported the Owia Village Church of Christ in Owia, St. Vincent - financially as well as investing one-on-one contact through mission trips. As the church there has grown in numbers and in spiritual development, more and more leadership has come from within the local congregation there. In fact, the leaders of the church family now oversee the division of our financial support. We have become intimately supportive of the people and family at Owia.
Ciudad De Angeles
Ciudad de Angeles is a Christian children’s home on the island of Cozumel, Mexico. The home accepts young children who have been orphaned, abandoned or abused and gives them a permanent home on the campus. Our family here at East Cobb Church of Christ was the anchor congregation in establishing Ciudad de Angeles.
The Extension, Marietta
The mission of The Extension is to facilitate a transformation that empowers chemically dependent homeless men and women to become sober, accountable members of society and to serve as a recovery resource for the community. Three times each month members at East Cobb church cook and serve a meal to the men served by The Extension.

Atlanta Inner-City Ministry (AIM)
The Mission of Atlanta Inner-City Ministry is to involve Christians in fulfilling the Great Commandment and Great Commission with authentic urban ministry. East Cobb church assists with this effort by providing to the children and families served by AIM Easter baskets, school supplies, Thanksgiving dinners, and fall treats. Additionally, we collect clothing and home items twice a year for delivery to AIM.
Kid-Power
After School Program
Brumby Elementary School, Marietta
In 2012, our church family began an outreach ministry with Brumby Elementary School called KID-Power. This is an after school program held weekly during the school year to teach Bible stories, provide tutoring help, and encourage self-esteem and student cooperation. PARENT-Power occurs once a month with a supper being provided for all families involved in the program and a time to build meaningful relationships.
