Our 5th and 6th graders attend “Momentum”—a program designed to help bridge the gap between childhood and adolescence. This pre-teen program combines Bible classes, service opportunities and Children’s and Youth Ministry activities together into life-changing spiritual growth.
Momentum was created to serve as a transitional class between children’s ministry and youth ministry. Our purpose is to provide the best opportunity for spiritual growth and maturity during this transitional time in their lives.
They will have their own class, activities and coordinated service projects throughout the year. Some of these projects and activities will be in conjunction with the youth group, but most of them will be specifically designed for their group only. The Momentum classroom is located adjacent to the youth room in old fellowship hall.
The scheduled events and service projects are implemented to further encourage Christian friendships and serving others. A few of our annual events/service projects are: Stone Mountain, Six Flags, tubing in Helen, GA, A.I.M. school supply bags, and A.I.M. Thanksgiving in a Box.
