“Roads Jesus Traveled and People He Touched” – General Adult Class
Think of the many people Jesus touched while carrying out his mission on earth - his family, his followers, strangers, different nationalities, religious leaders, political leaders, the poor, the wealthy, In this class, we'll study how Jesus interacted with different people. Our purpose will be to learn behaviors from his thoughts, speech, and actions that will help us touch people in our lives with the truth and love of God. Lesson sequence will be based on the travels of Jesus during his ministry.

“History of Christianity III” – General Adult Class
Paul is still preaching in Rome at the end of Acts. The book does not tell us what became of him or the rest of the church. What happened to move Christianity from its origin as a small Jewish sect of true believers to the dominating influence on Western culture?
In Spring 2009 we explored some of the people and events that shaped the post-Apostolic church in to what we recognize as the Medieval church. In Summer 2010 our study moved to the Protestant Reformation, with emphasis on the historical and theological development of key figures, movements, and doctrines. We will continue our current curriculum for the first half of Fall 2010, before revisiting topics and discussions as directed by class participants. The class may conclude with the Restoration Movement.
We are the heirs of a host of diverse and contradictory witnesses. All of them brought us to where we are now. The past still lives in us and influences who we are and how we understand the Christian message.

Seniors’ Class - Hebrews continuation
During the fall quarter we will continue our study of the book of Hebrews. This will help us understand the pivotal relationship between the Old and New Testaments. We will discover the power of being inseparably linked with our Savior, who is the same yesterday, today and forever. Also we will review and study some of the Old Testament Jewish tradition and religious customs including how the Passover feast was conducted and the symbolism of each item.

Wednesday Evenings
Whatever Became of Sin?- General Adult Class
This class will look at the condition of sin and discuss a number of passages talking about this concept. We will explore God’s view of it, biblical characters’ situation in it and our present culture’s perspective of it. It may not be one of the lightest topics to study after a long day at work on a Wednesday night, but it certainly is one of the most significant areas of discussion…anytime! Various Bible stories will be discussed along with several books, including Karl Menninger’s book, Whatever Became of Sin.
Teacher – Ray Hawkins Location – Church Auditorium
