You’re in the right place! There are too many places that you have to be fake. The ECYM is a place where we can all be real! We don’t claim to be perfect; we’re just following the only man who was. Newcomers are welcome at anything we do. If you have any questions or have something you need prayers for, please let us know. We are here for you!

 To Parents,

You’ve found a Christ-centered place where your teen will be led and encouraged into a maturing faith in Christ. Today’s teens carry a lot on their shoulders. They have more choices in front of them, and at easier access, than any generation before them. The ECYM is here to help guide teens toward positive choices- to help make the right decision a little easier to choose. We don’t have all the answers and, we can’t solve today’s problems. We simply strive to be guides to The One who can!

What We’re About:

There are so many great things to be involved in around the Atlanta area. Great service projects, exciting events and so many opportunities to share the gospel. So many, that it is often a struggle just deciding in which of those activities we need to be involved. So, to help us choose between all these opportunities we began looking into creating a purpose statement. As many churches, we have found The Greatest Commandment and The Great Commission to be foundational statements in the ministry of Christ. into a Maturing relationship with Christ. 

We believe in Multi-Age Education.  This is the theory that we not only learn from the person who is leading class but that everyone learns from each other.  Each age group has something to give to the other.  The older students are taught leadership skills, while the younger students are asked to focus on bringing their friends.  This is the best way to bring a young Christians into a maturing faith.  Grades 6-12 work and learn together most of the time and they are all able to contribute.

         This applies to the larger church body as well.  Not only do you have a lot to give to the teenagers, but they have a great deal to give back to you.  The choice to involve yourself with the ECYM is a choice to involve yourself with the not just the future leaders of our churches but the leaders of today’s generation.

 We have worked very diligently to setup a working Mentoring Program that allows each teen in the ECYM to be assigned to one adult member of our congregation. This mentor is then encouraged to build a strong, spiritual relationship with the teen. This allows each student to not only have parents and youth ministers that show them love and concern, but also another, unbiased, adult that can be an meaningful part of each teens spiritual development.

If you want to go on any of our trips or events you have to have an emergency release form. Print it, fill it in and bring it to church..

REGULARLY SCHEDULED EVENTS

Sunday Morning Bible Study- Every Sunday from 10:45-11:45 am

At East Cobb, we believe that the Bible is the very Word of God given to us to guide us through life on this Earth. For that reason, every Sunday you will find a group of teens meeting together to study the Word of God to figure out what he has in store for us.

Lighthouse is designed to help us make sure we don’t just talk about good things we should do. We like to find ways that we no longer simply talk like Christians but actually do what God is calling us to do. Each month we arrange events that focus around Service, Christian Fellowship, Evangelism and Discipleship.

Most of the time we can be found at the church building during Lighthouse, but there are a lot of times we do other things and go other places. For details on a specific night either e-mail us or give us a call (770.587.5999 ext. 204) to make sure you don’t miss out.

Sunday Night – @ 5:00pm.

FUEL has been moved to Sunday evenings from 5-7pm.  We’ll meet in the youth room for food, activities, Bible discussion and prayer.  Please bring $3 for the meal.

Wednesday Night – Every Wednesday @ 7:00pm. (Dinner is at 6pm)

Some very awesome people here at East Cobb have made all of our lives easier by providing a very good meal before our Wednesday night classes. This is FREE to our guests and we really hope that it gives you one more reason to come visit. 

PLEASE NOTE: Rick and Lauren are now hosting a home Bible study for 8-12th grade.  6-7th grades will continue to attend class in the youth room with David and Laura White as teachers.
