“Being Molded and Shaped by God” – General Adult Class
Don Elliott will continue leading a study this quarter focusing on the shaping of the Apostle Paul.  The class will have an emphasis on practical applications for our lives today that we can learn by studying Paul’s life, his transition from Jewish rabbi to Christian missionary, and his relationship with God. All are welcome.

“History of Christianity II” – General Adult Class
Paul is still preaching in Rome at the end of Acts.  The book does not tell what became of him or the rest of the church.  What happened to move Christianity from its origin as a small Jewish sect of true believers to the dominating influence on Western culture?

In Spring 2009 we explored some of the people and events (A.D. 100-500) that shaped the post-Apostolic church in to what we recognize as the medieval church.  We now continue to look at Christianity from the Reformation to the Modern Period, with emphasis on the historical and theological development of key figures, movements, and doctrines.

We are the heirs of a host of diverse and contradictory witnesses.  All of them brought us to where we are now.  The past still lives in us and influences who we are and how we understand the Christian message.
Teacher – Tad Goss                                     Location – Fellowship Hall #3

“Corinthian Problems: Still in the Church Today?” - Young Families
This class is designed for all young couples and families.  We will be exploring the book of I Corinthians and discussing the present-day applications of issues that faced the 1st century church.  Are they still around today?  You might be surprised to see that many things that plagued the early church still plague us today…just packaged differently!  Bring your Bibles each week.  Online notes will also be available on the church website throughout the quarter.
Teacher – Ray Hawkins                                       Location – Fellowship Hall #127

“49ers”  (Former Seniors’ Class)
During the summer quarter we will study the book of Hebrews.  This will help us understand the pivotal relationship between the Old and New Testaments.  We will discover the power of being inseparably linked with our Savior, who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

“Major Mistakes by Major Bible Characters”
This class will be for all adults and will cover the major mistakes of some familiar (and some unfamiliar) major characters in the Bible.  You might be surprised that THEIR problems and struggles centuries ago just might be YOUR problems today.  We will be meeting in the pavilion after our weekly picnic each week unless it is too hot outside (then inside.)  Remember to bring your picnic side items as the staff provides the main course each week.
