“Being Molded and Shaped by God: A study of Joseph, Moses, David and Paul”: General Adult Class
This class will take a fresh look at some familiar stories with an emphasis on how God prepared these individuals for His service. In addition, from a practical application standpoint, we will be asking the question how does God prepare us for His service today.
Teacher– Don Elliott Location – Auditorium
“Facilitated Class Discussions on Biblical Topics”: General Adult Class
Meeting on a continuing basis, this class is intended as an in-depth study of the scriptures for mature Christians and meets in the small classroom across the corridor from the youth complex. Emphasis is placed on group discussion using a facilitator as opposed to a designated teacher. The class is currently engaging in an in-depth examination of the book of Romans. This is an important study since Romans is arguably the most influential book in the New Testament due to its length, complexity, and theological power. This book has had a tremendous influence on the Church and certainly at one point altered the course of its history.
Facilitator – Ancel Buchanan Location–Fellowship Hall #123
“An Early History of Christianity”: General Adult Class
Paul is still preaching in Rome at the end of Acts. The book does not tell what became of him or the rest of the Church. What happened to move Christianity from its origin as a small Jewish sect of true believers to the dominating influence on Western culture? This course will explore some of the people and events that shaped the post-Apostolic church into what we recognize as the Medieval church (A.D. 100-500). We’ll focus on early church life, Apostolic Fathers, persecution and the Roman state, key heresies, development of the canon, development of key doctrines, and important theologians. We are the heirs of a host of diverse and contradictory witnesses. All of them brought us to where we are now. The past still lives in us and influences who we are and how we understand the Christian message.
Teacher – Tad Goss Location – Fellowship Hall #127
“Praise Team”

“I Timothy”: Young Couples and Young Families
This class will be studying the book if I Timothy by discussing the issues that have caused the church to stray from the "truth." Major points of concern in our church's culture these days will be inspected biblically and socially in order to maintain the faith that we are taught in this book as young adults. Outside events will also be pushed through this class for all young couples and young families.
Teacher – Ray Hawkins Location – Classroom 120
