Sunday Morning Adult Offerings:

“Being Molded and Shaped by God” – General Adult Class

Don Elliott will continue leading a study this quarter focusing on the early life of biblical King David.  The class will have an emphasis on practical applications for our lives today that we can learn by studying David’s life and relationship with God. All are welcome.

“The Only Way to Happiness: The Beatitudes” – General Adult Class

Jesus' first recorded sermon in the Bible is a blueprint for being happy here on earth. Though His definition contains no prescriptions for acquiring cars, homes, or savings, it does require transformation and obedience. This class will examine Jesus' timeless definition of happiness and the eminent importance of the one word needed to obtain it: Blessed.  It will explain that our reward for following Jesus' plan is citizenship in the kingdom of God and an abiding joy that can never be taken away.

Right Foot Young Couples and Young Families

This class is designed for all young married couples.  We will be discussing all forms of problems in marriage as well as the ways Satan attacks Christian families.

“He Who Has Ears to Hear Let Him Hear.” - Matt. 11:15, Matt. 13:9, Matt 13:10-17

Jesus taught some 40 parables.  We will discuss their meanings and discover why he used parables to teach the people, the Scribes & Pharisees (Teachers of the law).  Did the disciples understand the Parables?  What can we learn about God, the Father from these interesting Parables?  Are they meaningful to each of us today as we go about being mothers, fathers, sons and daughters and now grandparents who are on our faith journey to be like Jesus?  We welcome all ages.

“Leaving and Cleaving:  A Study in Your Family of Origin”

This class is designed to help us learn the family rules, rituals and repeats from the families in which we grew up.  From a study of Abraham’s family in the Old Testament through the present day, families have been God’s way of training us for relationships and service to Him.  We will be using the same workbook as last time this class was offered, so if you still have them, bring them.

“Preaching and Teaching Biblical Ethics” – General Adult Class

This class continues for a second quarter a look at the ethical issues and concerns faced by every Christian member, parent, preacher, and teacher. A different subject will be discussed each Wednesday night.  Each class will include a biblical basis for dealing with such issues.  Background for the class will a be recently published book by Walter Kaiser titled: “What Does the Lord Require? A Guide for Preaching and Teaching Biblical Ethics."
