East Cobb Prayer Week Daily Topics

Friday – People’s Need for God’s guidance.

We live in a world where even Christians rarely allow God to guide them, much less unchurched people.  People need the Lord!  Pray for hearts of people in our own community to be open to God and for us to be able to reach them through our hearts of outreach.

Saturday – Making Meaningful Connections.

It’s not just a pretty theme for this year…it’s a direction and a calling.  Pray for God to help us make a TRULY meaningful connection with Him, to connect with others in the body so no one feels left out, and to share the love and message of Jesus with the unchurched of our community.  Connect because we NEED it.  Connect because others NEED it.  Connect because He first loved us!

Monday - God's guidance in our individual lives –

Pray that we will all open up control of our own lives to God’s leading.  Which decisions should we be praying for guidance in?  Do we take too much control and leave God out?  Pray for the Holy Spirit to empower us with the Fruit of the Spirit (last year’s theme.)

Tuesday – God’s guidance in the life of this church body.

Pray that God will mightily lead this church, that He will empower the shepherds to lean completely on His will, and that they will listen to His call in spiritually leading the members of this body.  (Mention elders by name.)  Pray also for the deacons and ministry leaders to make God’s decisions within their ministries.

Wednesday – God’s guidance in the Northern Hills church plant.

Pray that God will direct this brand new church family as He has East Cobb over the years and that their growth and development would come completely from His will.  Thank God for His blessing of their successful launch.

Thursday – God’s guidance in our next church plant.

Because our fellowship is NOT growing in the United States and because there are so many unchurched people in our own community, ask for God’s guidance in our next church plant. God has already shown us that we have been called to be a church planting church (last year’s prayerfest.)  Does He want us to continue?  Where?  When? In what way does He need to use us?
