Events

We will be going to Helen for tubing, water sliding, picnic and hanging out in Helen for the day. We'll leave the church at 9am and return at 6pm. The cost will be $11/person plus a packed lunch. Additional details will go out via email or see Christy Jordan.

Our Day of the Child will end with a going away picnic at the pavilion at 12:15pm.  We will honor David Wilson, known as “Coach” for his service to both the Children’s ministry and the Youth over the past year.  David began working as the Children’s Director last July while we were in between Children’s Ministers.  During that year, he also filled in with the youth ministry when it was needed.  He has been a tremendous asset to our church family and we want to honor him and Tammy as they leave to take a new position in Alabama.  Bring your potluck picnic items to share!!  Drinks will be provided.

We annually honor our children who will be graduating from one program to another on what we call, “The Day of the Child.”  Our focus that day is completely on children and their families.  This year’s day will be Sunday, August 8th during first service (with an abbreviated focus on children in Service 11:18.)  If you have friends or neighbors who have young children or teens, this is an excellent opportunity to invite them.  They will see very clearly that we love children here at East Cobb!!
