East Cobb has several missions activities within our local Hispanic communities:
East Cobb Iglesia de Cristo
Sunday morning worship is at 11am, please join us!
East Cobb periodically hosts ESL classes.
- Lessons 1-12, Beginner classes - 6 weeks
- Lessons 13-20, Intermediate classes - 4 weeks
- Lessons 21-24, Advanced classes - 2 weeks
Each class builds on the previous one. Each lesson has a 30 minute video, which is supplemented with learning materials to round out the two-hour Tuesday night classes. Call the office if you are interested.
Tutoring and Mentoring.
During the school year, Nelson Galaragga, our Hispanic Minister along with Ray Hawkins will be coordinating a Tutor and Mentoring program for young Hispanic children. We meet every Thursday afternoon in the Fellowship Hall throughout the Spring semester helping students with their homework, study habits, and social skills. If you have a little time to help us, this could go a long way in reaching out to this community and sharing the Love of Jesus with this group. Our hope is that their parents may join us for Bible studies that night or for worship every Sunday morning. Call the office if you are interested in working with this ministry.
